But when she disguised herself as a geeky high school student at the Teen Choice Awards, it appears the comedian wasn't quite a fan of her new look.
The 35-year-old showed his disdain for Perry's costume as he posted a candid snap of the couple taken backstage at the Los Angeles bash on Sunday night.
Perry's geeky ensemble of glasses, plaits, braces and ankle socks was just one of six different fancy dress costumes she wore to host the bash.
While Brand refrained from joining his future wife on stage, he posted a photo of them behind the scenes.
Underneath the photo, he wrote: 'The real winner of the Teen Choice awards is... I AM! I won a fantastic new bride.'
Brand dashed to Los Angeles to spend the weekend with his fiancée before returning to New York, where he has been filming the Arthur remake with Dame Helen Mirren

She said: 'We all start to slow down. I think he was ready for change.
'I mean, you don't have the stamina to be in bed with 80 different women a week when you're 35 and trying to do good work.
'It's not about taming, because that won't last. Not everything stays perfect.'
