Ready for her comeback: Charlotte Church poses in a green asymmetrical dress and unusual feathered heels as she prepares to release her new album Back To Scratch
Charlotte Church has changed dramatically since her last album - becoming a mother to two young children, splitting from fiancé Gavin Henson and losing weight.
So it's only fitting the Welsh singer shows a whole new side as she prepares to mount her music comeback.
In a new high fashion photoshoot to promote her new album Back To Scratch, the 24-year-old shows her quirkier side in an asymmetrical green dress and feathered high-heels.
Appearing to be either inside or outside a building with a juxtaposition of trees and a muddy ground against an interior wall, Church is just a few centimetres away from an old gramophone - a hint at what sound fans can expect on her new release.
Described as 'multi-textured pop dynamite', Church has worked with a host of producers and songwriters, including Luke Laird, Patrick Davis, Martin Terefe and Sacha Skarbeck.
The album also features Welsh songwriter Jonathan Powell, who Church has been romantically linked to in recent weeks.
The first single - the title track of the album - deals with a relationship breakdown, which was originally inspired by a family member, but now has more resonance following her recent split from Henson.
Nervous: Church is returning to pop after taking five years out for motherhood to her children Ruby and Dexter
Church said: 'It became the perfect song for my situation so I sing it with a lot of conviction.'
The album also features the Parisian jazz track Ruby, an ode to motherhood previously recorded by French singer Camille and the name of Church's two-year-old daughter.
As well as a song to her daughter, she has also written an ode to her mother Maria, entitled The Two Of Us.
Charlotte said: 'She's brilliant, I love her to bits, but she takes a lot of care and affection. The song is kind of sad. She cries every time she hears it.'

Church admitted she was nervous about returning to the music scene after so long away: 'The decision to come back to work after I had babies and stuff, I was a bit scared - but music and singing is what I do and I don't think I'll ever lose my passion for it at all.
'I'm a little bit nervous that it's not too far away from what I used to do. My classical voice is still there. But now we're just trying to focus on creating a sound and I hope it will be a sound that everybody enjoys.'
Church debuted one of the tracks, entitled The Actors, on BBC talent show Over The Rainbow in May, which she appeared on as a judge.
The singer landed her big break when she sang Pie Jesu down the phone on This Morning when she was just 11.
After signing a record deal with Sony BMG, she released her first album Voice Of An Angel in 1998, which sold over a million copies worldwide.
At the height of her classical fame, she performed for the Queen, Pope John Paul II and then-U.S. President Bill Clinton.
After four classical albums, Church moved into the pop scene five years ago with Tissues And Issues.
Tissues And Issues, which featured the single Crazy Chick, failed to sell as well as her previous albums, shifting over 300,000 copies in the UK.
• Back To Scratch is due for release in November 1.
